I have been a vendor at the Waterford Craft Fair in historic Waterford, Virginia for the past 11 years. In 2020, the show was done virtually because of COVID-19. Below are some videos I made demonstrating hand spinning with a spinning wheel, weaving, and a sheepdog demonstration in my pasture at home with my Border Collie, Bryn.

Check out my shop here: www.Etsy.com/shop/EwesfulFiberArts On my Etsy shop you will find handspun yarns, woolly wrap soaps and hand woven scarves, shawls, and mobius wraps. All shipping is free! So you are never shocked by a shipping price that increases your cost! Thank you to everyone who came out to make the Liberty High Craft Fair in Carroll County a success for us. We were happy to see some familiar faces come back as repeat customers for our beloved wooly wrapped soaps and meet some lovely new folks. We wish you the best with the knitting projects you have planned with our hand spun yarns and enjoy the felted ornaments on your trees soon to be decorated! We are already signed up to be back again next year!
Happy Thanksgiving! For the first time in 72 years, The Waterford Craft Exhibit and Homes tour was cancelled this weekend because of weather. I scrambled and was able to secure a vending spot in Thurmont MD next weekend. Thurmont hosts Colorfest www.colorfest.org Although I am not in the official Colorfest area, I will be directly across from it at 18 Frederick road where there will be vendors set up. The whole town has vendors everywhere, on top of the 300 juried vendors that are in the official Colorfest section. Come and say hello! Admission is free, but there is a charge to park and take the shuttle service.
Labor Day Weekend, and we are laboring over the dye pots! Yarns and wools getting ready for the final products to be made before fall show season starts! These will go into mohair shawls and scarves. The black wool, soon to be joined by some brown, will make lovely cat caves!
Susan and Heather from Ewes-ful Fiber Arts will be selling their hand crafts at the Liberty High School's upcoming Holiday Craft Fair on November 22nd. It's a perfect time to come out and support local crafters by buying your Christmas gifts there. Felted soaps, hand spun yarn, felted ornaments and more will be available for purchase. Stop by and see us!
I want to thank everyone for making this year's Waterford Craft Fair such a wonderful success for Ewes-ful Fiber Arts! We loved seeing and reconnecting with fellow crafters, returning patrons and meeting all the new fans of Ewes-ful Fiber Arts and our Angora rabbit Wilbur of course! Always feel free to contact me directly if you have a question (knitting patterns, spindle kits, etc.) or would like to order additional skeins of yarn or wooly soaps. Of course we also love to hear from people who have used or gifted our products or made something with our yarns (sending us pictures of finished products is encouraged!). We are already looking forward to next year! For now though, it's nice to be back at home with our animal family. Stay tuned to hear more about new products and other upcoming events.
I am working hard to get ready for the show, putting the finishing touches on projects, labeling, pricing and packing everything carefully for travel. I look forward to seeing how people respond to my newest products. My daughter will be selling and demonstrating alongside me this year as she has in the past. Her main contribution is needle felting. Check out some of her projects on her blog by clicking the link below:
I will be a craft demonstrator and vendor at the upcoming Waterford Craft Fair in historic Waterford, VA on October 3, 4 and 5. My handwoven items, felted soaps and more will be available for purchase. My daughter will also have her needle felted items available and will be demonstrating this unique craft. I will be using a spinning wheel and drop spindle, discussing how fibers were traditionally processed. In addition, we are bringing along one of our beloved Angora rabbits in full wool which many people often mistake for a cat!
Come visit us outside the Old School House! Check out more information about the fair, where to find our booth and how to purchase advance tickets here: |
